We're a Canadian small business creating handmade accessories from thrifted South Asian fabrics, bringing heritage, creativity, and meaning into everyday style.
But our story began with something much more personal.
Hi, I'm Shriaa
After my grandmother passed away, I wanted to find a way to keep her close—not just on special occasions, but in the little moments of everyday life.
So I took one of her saris and turned it into a bow.
And somehow, it felt perfect.
A piece of fabric that belonged to someone I loved had become something I could wear and treasure. It was a small way to carry her memory and blessings with me.
That first bow inspired the idea behind Desi Bow Co.
Beautiful fabrics deserve another life.
South Asian textiles are full of colour, detail, and character. Saris, dupattas, and other garments can hold years of memories, yet sometimes they end up unworn or tucked away in a closet.
I wanted to find a way to give these fabrics a new purpose.
Today, we transform thrifted South Asian textiles into handmade accessories, giving pre-loved materials another chance to be loved and worn.
Because a beautiful fabric doesn't have to be forgotten just because its first chapter has ended.
